Are you trying to figure out how to winterize your skin? If you’re like me and live in a cold climate, you’ll need a skin care routine to get you through it! My legs get super itchy every winter as my skin drys out and no amount of lotion helps.
I think I’ve come up with he perfect skin care and hopefully it will help you too!
I’ve spoken before about my extremely sensitive (AKA bougie) skin. If you want to read more about it click here.
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, nurse, or medical professional of any type. These are the very simple thoughts and ideas that I formed trying to relieve my itchy skin in the winter. Please do not take this as medical advice, and if you have concerns please contact a medical professional immediately.
Winter Body Skin Care Routine
Bar of Soap: I probably overly wash my skin but I work in construction so it’s needed. Dove Original is a great brand that works for me.
Exfoliate: I try to exfoliate every day except hair day (hair day is too much work for me so I do the minimum with my skin on those days). I found Dove Exfoliating Body Scrubs and I’m in love with them as you can use them daily. I found 2 scents I’m in love with.
Body Wash: I told you I probably over clean myself. I am currently obsessed with Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash in Pistachio Cream & Magnolia. It smells amazing!
Oil: This was recommended to me and it was a major game changer!!! The second I get out of the shower I rub this all over. I then let it soak in for about 10 min before putting lotion on.
Lotion: Final stage is adding lotion. This is a new favourite one of mine.
Lip Care
I work in the elements so my lips tend to get very chapped.
Lip Scrub: My absolute favourite lip scrub is from Lush. For Christmas I was given the flavour of salted caramel and it’s delicious!!!
Lip Sleeping Mask: If your lips are ridiculous like mine you will want a lip sleeping mask and the absolute best one is Lineage Lip Sleeping Mask. You can get it at Sephora.
Hand Cream
Again, I work in the elements so I get hit hard with my hands. 100% recommend Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream. You use a super small amount after washing your hands and let it soak up.
