Spring Cleaning is upon us!!! I do a major deep clean of my home twice a year. Once in spring and once in fall. Below are my tips for doing an efficient spring clean to get you ready for the warmer season.
Kitchen
The kitchen takes FOREVER to deep clean! I swear it took me 2 full days.
- Pull everything out of the cupboards, wipe down the cupboards and then reorganize them
- Deep clean your fridge and freezer
- Deep clean your oven
- Wash any windows and windowsills
- Dust and wipe down any light fixtures
- Dust baseboards and top of cupboards
- Clean out drains: I use a butter knife to twist out the drains and then scrub down the drain with a toothbrush. After, I pour a cup of baking soda down each drain and follow up with 2 cups of vinegar per drain. I then put a cloth over the drains and wait 10 min before pouring hot water down both drains.
I also obviously sweep and mop the floors and wipe down the counters as well.
Living Room/Dining Room
I grouped these two areas in together as they’re the same things.
- Dust and wipe down all surface areas
- Wipe down walls and baseboards
- Clean windows and windowsills

- If you have leather furniture this would be a great time to wax them
- Wash any curtains or wipe down any blinds
- Deep clean any rugs or carpeted areas
Bathrooms
