Are you looking for ideas on fridge organization? I’m deep into my spring clean up and as usual, that includes a deep clean of my fridge and a thorough reorganization of it.
As you can see, my fridge was a bit….. in need of some TLC

Step 1: Clean EVERYTHING out!
Pull everything out while double-checking expiry dates.
Once everything is out, pull out the shelves and drawers and deep clean the entire fridge. Thoroughly soak the drawers and shelves. Once everything is cleaned out reassemble your fridge.
Step 2: Decide how you’re going to organize your fridge.
I have an assortment of clear bins in my fridge. Currently, I have these ones from Amazon as well as some other ones from the Dollar Store. I also purchased a no drip mat and some grip mats from the Dollar Store.
Step 3: Organize your fridge.
I find the best way for a fridge to be organized is:
- Top Shelf: Milk, Cream, Juice
- Next Shelf: Dairy like yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream, etc.
- Next Shelf: Leftovers
- Lowest Shelf: Meat and eggs (put a no drip mat on this self to ensure any meat juices that leak out can be quickly cleaned up.
- Deli Drawer: Deli meats and cheeses
- Fruit and Veggie drawers are explanatory.

Step 4: Organize the door of your fridge.
I find it’s easiest to organize the door in groups of similar items. Keep all condiments together and all salad dressings together, etc. Also, put a grip mat on each self of the door to ensure easy cleanup.
