It is so exciting when you get to decorate your home for fall. I LOVE fall! I’m that basic b!tch that’s running around decorating my home with pumpkins while drinking a pumpkin spice latte.
I start decorating my home at the end of September for Fall, after completing my Fall Prep. You can read about that here. It’s still too early to be bringing real pumpkins into the house, but I have fake ones to hold me over until we go to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. Do not feel like you have to break the bank purchasing the decor. A ton of it you can get from The Dollar Store, The Super Store, Michaels Crafts, and Amazon.

Fall Decor Living Room Ideas
You want to make your fall decor in the living room cozy. Tons of throw pillows and cozy blankets. I add a cute lantern with a leaves garland (Dollar Store) to my side table.

For the coffee table, keep it simple with a 3-wick candle from Bath and Body Works. I found a circular tray I loved on Amazon (To read about my OG living room decor, click here) and added pumpkins to it that I found at The Dollar Store and Michaels Crafts.

Fall Decor Dining Room Table Ideas
Everyone wants to decorate their dining room beautifully for Thanksgiving. My family rarely eats dinner at the dining room table so I decorate it for fall until I change it to my Christmas decor.

I found these beautiful “crystal” tea light holders that matched my circular tray in the living room at the Dollar Store. On Amazon, I found matching “crystal” Candle Holders and a burlap runner. You can find mini pumpkins from Michaels, Dollar Store, and the Super Store to tie the rest of the look in.
Kitchen Decor
So far, I’m keeping it simple with the kitchen Decor. A simple Letter Board I purchased from Amazon (I change the saying weekly) and another cute pumpkin (Dollar Store) that’s beside it.

Front Door
I keep the front door area cozy with a cute plant from the Super Store, an “It’s Fall Y’all” Sign I had made up from a local shop, pumpkins, and this door mat, with this under it that I got off of Amazon.
Notes for decorating your home for fall
- Pumpkins ripen fast in the house. Keep them outside for as long as possible
- Don’t spend a ton. You’re only decorating for about 6 weeks. Great deals can be found if you look for them
- Smells are my favourite part of the fall. Candles are a must! Click here for my fav scents and items from Bath and Body Works
- If you have a doormat, don’t expect too many seasons out of it. Weather will destroy it no matter what.
- Do what makes you feel happy, not what people tell you should make you feel happy. If you don’t like pumpkins, don’t add them!
