Finding great Christmas decor ideas can be a bit tricky. In my world, most people don’t care about what the trends or colours are, they just want to make their home look christmassy in a way that represents them best.
I start Christmas decorating earlier than some. We get our tree a week before December (we get a real one as I love them) and decorating usually happens a couple of days before then.

Christmas Tree Decor
My Christmas tree is full of personal decorations. From ornaments that my kids made when they were little, to the annual ornaments my grandma gifted us.
I personally like white lights. I’m not a fan of multicoloured lights.
I have a ton of very personal ornaments. My Christmas colours are red and white, so I have tons of shatterproof ornaments in these colours similar to these ones. I’m pretty sure I purchased the ones I have from SuperStore, but these are pretty close.
White fluffy garland is the final touch of perfection!
To finish the whole thing off I have a beautiful furry white tree skirt.
Christmas Decor
My decor is harder to share as the majority of it has been gifted to me. Things I strongly encourage though are:
Window Lights!!!! Get these! I’ve had them for 3 years and I’m in love with them. They make my home magical.
Stockings for the fireplace are a must! I’m not going to lie though, these are STRICTLY decorations! We have very large stockings that Santa fills. When my kids were super little I bought plain stockings and they decorated them with glitter and stickers. I’m not going to hang those up as decor, but they’re tradition and my kids will inherit them when I pass.
Throw pillows are a great addition to your decor. I bought mine from Giant Tiger and love them. These are adorable as well but they’re just cases so be careful with that.
Christmas candles are a must. Stay tuned for my blog on Bath and Body Works Candles.
Outdoor Christmas Decor
We can’t do Christmas lights outside as we have uncooperative gutters. We do have a beautiful wreath that we buy from a local fundraiser and I pick up a potted plant with pine needles and bows from SuperStore. I also have a handmade sign from a local artist that says Merry Christmas.
What are your best Christmas decor ideas? I would love to hear about them in the comment section!
